just cuz it's a bug doesn't mean you gotta squish it!

Apparently for folks trying to beat red lights that thought wasn't one of them. I will admit it could have been far far far worse! In some ways it was good it was snowing a bad kind of snow that I'm not fond of or I would have been farther into the intersection... I was driving like an old geezer! Of course me being the bad example 99% of the time, this was the 1% of the time I choose to wear my seat-belt and that is what has screwed up my back and kept me out of work all week, plus my eardrum that keeps oozing blood... but that doesn't hurt anymore, I just can't hear out of it... really annoying! Buggy should come home from the car hospital Tuesday or Wednesday weather permitting!

As a side note never lock the car rental keys in the rental car... they don't keep spares at the rental place, gotta triple a, it sucks all around!!!

New Years Resolutions

I stopped making resolutions long ago, the ever over achieving suck-up that I am could not handle something on a to do list with a time constraint not getting done. Well folks perhaps that was to drastic, perhaps instead of making those big resolutions like everyone else, I should stick with manageable for me resolutions... so this year that's what I'm trying. Notice I gave it 3 weeks before posting! So of course there is everyone's wishful hope that usually gets crushed by some monetary crisis... but I made a plan! I hope to be Credit Card debt free by the end of the year. We've been so behind the 8 ball for so many years, paycheck to almost paycheck... why can't the bill companies realize that if I get paid on the 31st they aren't going get that payment on the 2nd? Anyway... for at least until late spring I'll be working 3 jobs. We just paid off our 4 highest interest bills smart thinking there, and will make as large of payments each month as possible on the next highest interest bill. We sat down and made a plan... in some ways that is almost more important to me than completing this resolution! My second resolution is Miss Lisa's fault :P she thought it would be fun to try something new every week... I thought so too, but that it would not work with my debt free resolution, so I downsized it. Every other week I try a new wine, every other week I try a new mixed drink! My first mixed drink was a Homecoming equal parts Irish Cream, and Amaretto... liquid candy is all I have to say! Then I tried the Hazlitt Vineyards Red Cat Wine, meow... I don't like red wine... well now I do! This weeks drink was a Widget... I don't suggest it... if you like girly drinks, that is...equal parts gin and peach schnapps. It would have been much better if I had added ginger ale, or doubled the schnapps I think. Next shall be the Hazlitt Vineyards White Cat!!

See told you I'd do better!

So today was a big first in the lives of one of our little men. The little man himself went to the dentist! We all wanted to keep it simple and go to the same one and since they won't see children under 5 we had not pushed the subject. Well look out 2010 cause I'm tearing it up already! So the plan was I would get my exam/cleaning first with a certain someone watching and watched by Daddy then he would have his turn, and we would just get as far as possible, as I detest the dentist I was prepared to pay for the cleaning of one tooth. Well as luck would have it I woke up with a migraine and since I had to go to work and holding my mouth open that long always gives me a migraine Daddy got the appt, but he had to be a few minutes late, which meant my little man had to forego the example. He hated the x rays being taken, then did not want to let the dentist look at all, but then the dentist gave him a print out of his x ray and all was right in the dental world... not just one tooth but the whole mouth cleaned, all the while flirting with all the girls... OF COURSE!!! Let's see want happens in 6 months! I didn't think a picture would be appropriate... but he was awfully cute in his flirtatious ways!

2010 seriously... already?

Yeah okay gotta be better this year with updating the blog, I did good for a while there in 2009 then I got sick and then the days got shorter and well bed just looks so much more inviting with two cats and a book to curl up to than a computer at a desk! So well this week coming up I hope to put out our x-mas/holiday/happy 2010 family newsletter here-going green. Along with it will be the x-mas card photo that I neglected to send to anybody... soon, I'll be sending out Happy 2010 cards! I can only try to be better!

Welcome

So the poor little man's first big boy field trip got rained out and cancelled... no pumpkin patch today. But I had taken the day off of work to chaperone and fulfill my new duties as one of the school's yearbook photographers. So I got a hold of Ms. Hoover and asked if she needed a volunteer for the classroom. As it turned out she could use someone to help carve a pumpkin that she had got to help pass the time in her now unplanned day. Pumpkin... me carve a pumpkin... I would never do such a thing... it's only my most favorite activity of the whole year. So I headed up to the school this morning... and spent 2 1/2 hours carving welcome into a pumpkin... can't be having evil Halloween in the schoold anymore. It was a really neat but intricate design... I think Ms Hoover is afraid I'll never come back. It was actually totally cool... the kids were mostly awesome, and I know my little man was happy I could have lunch with him and see his classroom and his friends. It was nice... well maybe not lunch... 120 kindegarteners... that was scary... scarier than Halloween!!!!
