I decided to see if I could cheat and get away with it... so far so good... this area of wall is drywall directly over
horse hair slat wall so screwing these two tiny patches would have been difficult I'd have had to cut some huge chunks away and get into the horse hair plaster...
uhmmmmmmmmm... no thanks, so I got some paper did an exact outline trace of the holes, cut the drywall pieces so tight that I had to literally push hard to get them in the hole, nice and snug and I used craft glue to double secure them. I'm thinking that hey they are behind the stove, not a high traffic area, no hands should encounter them, no pressure... I'm going to skim some
spackle over it, let it dry, sand and see how bad it looks. Hopefully it'll be fine. I'm going to buy the remaining cabinet we need today, and hopefully get that in place this week, and start on the
luan for the tile. I'll have to take some progress pics... I never do, but see I started so perhaps I'll keep it up! Off to go locate the
spackle!!!!
